Nevada Donor Network is committed to helping those in grief at the time of loss and beyond. The Aftercare Program provides support to families through phone calls, correspondence, events, grief literature and assistance in locating support resources in the community. Our coordinators also facilitate correspondence between donor families and transplant recipients.
Donor Remembrance Ceremony
A key part of Nevada Donor Network’s support for our heroic donor families is our annual Donor Remembrance Ceremony, held in the fall. The ceremony honors and remembers the selfless heroes who provided hope and healing through organ, eye and tissue donation.
Each family is given the opportunity to submit a photo and written sentiment in honor of their loved one to be used in a video presentation and memory book. In addition, families are invited to bring mementos of their loved one, which are displayed on tables throughout the venue during the ceremony. Every family is given a special medal in honor of their loved one’s gift.
This is a private event by invitation only. Invitations are mailed to families whose loved ones passed away in the previous year. There is no cost to attend the ceremony.
RSVPs are currently closed.
