Donor Sabbath Month
We celebrate Donor Sabbath throughout the month of November, which seeks to encourage all major religions in Nevada to highlight the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation in our community.
Nevada Donor Network would like to invite you to join this effort throughout the month by bringing awareness to our mission, developing bulletins/newsletters to share more information, encouraging your congregation to register as heroic donors, sharing inspiring testimonies, sharing the message of hope donation brings online and more. While November is a time to highlight the Donor Sabbath observance, these efforts can continue throughout the entire year.
You have the power to help. This ready-to-use outreach kit includes donation facts, social media graphics, suggested content and talking points. You have the opportunity to save and heal lives simply by bringing awareness to our cause!
When someone says, “YES,” to becoming an organ, eye and tissue donor, it brings hope to the more than 110,000 people across the United States waiting for their second chance through organ donation. This is the ultimate act of generosity and love. Your support helps honor the heroic donors who have donated, grateful transplant recipients who have received the ultimate gift and those who are desperately waiting for a second chance through donation. The Power of 1
One heroic donor can save up to eight lives through organ donation, heal 75 or more lives through tissue donation and restore sight for up to two people through cornea donation. This decision is the ultimate act of charity and love. It gives someone the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy and brings hope to those desperately waiting for a second chance through donation. @Nevada Donor Network and our congregation encourage you to learn more, have a conversation with your loved ones and register today at: www.nvdonor.org/faith

Organ Donation Fact
Have you heard of this misconception? “My religion does not support organ, eye and tissue donation.” Thanks to @Nevada Donor Network for sharing the FACT that all major religions in the United States encourage and support organ, eye and tissue donation. It is viewed as an individual’s final act of generosity and love in the world. Learn more about your religion’s perspective on donation at: www.nvdonor.org/faith

The Desperate Need...
Did you know? There are currently more than 110,000 people in the United States waiting for a second chance through organ donation and transplantation. The need is critical. Every eight minutes someone new is added to the national organ transplant waiting list. Unfortunately, 13 people pass away every day because their gift does not come in time. You have the power to give the ultimate gift, and your faith supports this final act of generosity. Learn more from @Nevada Donor Network at: www.nvdonor.org/faith
